from CGTrader has announced the launch of a new computer graphics challenge and now accepts online submissions from 3D designers developing high-quality architectural 3D content.
CGTrader has recently celebrated hitting 35,000 architecture 3D model milestone on their marketplace. The company is focused on tailoring the well-known design challenges to its diverse 3D designer community’s preferences, so it only seems natural that they’ve announced a competition targeting 3D professionals who enjoy creating architectural interior and exterior 3D models.

3D Architecture challenge invites computer graphics artists to submit designs of concept cities, homes and buildings in two categories – interior and exterior. The challenge has become an annual CGTrader competition due to the high volume of submissions last year, so no wonder it has an impressive total prize pool this year – $13,000 worth in prizes. The company strives to attract high-quality architectural 3D models, thus the challenge is run in a slightly different fashion this time, discarding the best portfolio category and centering on two best 3D models – interior and exterior.
“We pride ourselves on designer satisfaction. Their success is our priority. Naturally, we’re dedicated to delivering the most interesting design challenges that would be appreciated by our community. Architectural 3D models are at the heart of computer graphics – it’s what drives people and it also sells. So it’s a win win for everyone” – said Marius Kalytis, the founder and CEO of

The contest closes on the 30th of January 2015.
