Call for Content #27

It’s time again to start thinking about articles, tutorials and images for Issue # 27 of Blenderart Magazine.

The theme for this issue is Shadow Showdown: Achieving Light/Shadow Balance

Light without shadows is just, well bright. Good lighting generally shows a good balance of light vs. shadows. This never seems to be an easy task, even with improvements to the Blender code. So once again we go in search of the perfect lighting solution.

And since there never seems to be a single solution that works for all situations, in addition to your best lighting rigs for general purposes & specialized solutions, we are looking for all your secrets, tips and techniques on:

  • Lighting game levels and characters, images, animations
  • Atmospheric lighting
  • Nodes/compositing for great lighting effects
  • Colored shadows
  • Ambient Occasion
  • Lighting groups
  • Textured lighting/shadows

Also wanted, great shaders, materials and node setups for great looking materials and effects.
