Call for Content Blenderart #24

Posted on September 3, 2009. Filed under: Blenderart Magazine, Call For Content |

It’s time again to start thinking about articles, tutorials and images for Issue # 24 of Blenderart Magazine.

The theme for this issue is “From Out of the Deep…”.

Part of the fun of being a 3d artist is getting to create things out of your imagination. And since little is actually know about the deeps of the oceans and seas, it provides a great environment for creative endeavors. It is also provides a challenging environment to light properly and apply believable underwater caustics.

So let’s fire up our imaginations and blender and create some amazing “From Out of the Deep…” projects. And don’t forget to share what you have created with us.

We are looking for:

Images, Animations & Games that contain or feature:

  • Sea creatures
    • scary/dangerous
    • cute, exotic
    • fictional, realistic
  • Underwater Scenes/Environments
    • caves, coral reefs, plant life
    • Underwater cities / sunken ships

Also wanted, great shaders, materials and node setups for great looking materials and effects.
